HOLIDAY CAMPS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms & Conditions
I acknowledge that there are risks associated with activities at camp and that Bridge Valley will take all reasonable practical steps to manage any risks higher than everyday life.
I agree that I am responsible for notifying Bridge Valley of any changes to the information provided on the enrolment form, custody or access arrangements that pertain to my child and informing Bridge Valley as soon as possible if my child will not be attending camp as expected.
I agree for my child to be taken off site for activities, as need be. I agree that any scooters, skateboards, or other sports equipment is brought to camp at my own risk and Bridge Valley is not responsible for any damages to equipment while at camp.
I agree that my child must have everything on the supplied gear list, including a drink bottle and a sunhat.
I agree that my child may appear in our camp magazines or other promotional photos for Bridge Valley such as social media, website, or pamphlets.
I am aware that Bridge Valley is a Christian Camp. We promote and encourage Christian values and create a space for people to explore faith.
Cancellations
I am aware that if I decide to cancel my registration, then Bridge Valley must receive a notice in email no later than seven days before camp or each child’s booking will be charged $150 as a cancellation fee.
Camp policy requires that I do not send my child to camp if they have had diarrhoea or vomiting in the 48 hours prior to the start of camp. I also agree not to send my child to camp with anything else contagious, such as the flu or headlice. If I cancel my child due to a contagious sickness, Bridge Valley may be able to hold a credit for a future camp.
Behaviour Policy
I am aware that Bridge Valley holiday programmes are not equipped to provide specialized one-on-one care for children. A reasonable level of social skills, i.e, communication, respect, and self-awareness are required from campers to attend a holiday camp. Bridge Valley has very limited tolerance for any kind of bullying or abuse, swearing and disrespect towards others, especially our staff.
I am aware that if my child abuses another person while at camp, they will be removed from the place where they are abusing others and placed where they are not causing harm to others until Bridge Valley staff are confident that they will not cause further harm to others. In some cases, this may mean my child being asked to leave camp with no refund, at the expense of myself as the parent / caregiver.
I am aware that if my child walks off by themselves and will not return to a safe supervised location, the emergency contacts or I will be contacted and asked to remove them from camp.
I agree that my child is to abide by camp rules, cooperate with staff and respect other people’s property, and note that their failure to do so may result in my paying for the damage he/she has caused, and my child being sent home. (NB Camp fees are non-refundable).
Medical and Dietary Policy
Medical
I have listed my child’s medical, emergency, and behavioural requirements on this form and agree that in an emergency, any necessary decisions can be made by those in charge if parents/guardians/family cannot be contacted and said information can be disclosed to medical staff. I agree to allow Paracetamol (Panadol) to be administered if required.
I am aware that all required medication must be supplied at the time of sign in with clear instructions on how it is to be used. Failure to do so may result in my child not being able to start camp until the medication is supplied.
Dietary
I am aware that, to protect other campers, I cannot supply food for my child to keep in their cabin with them.
I am aware that Bridge Valley cannot guarantee the kitchen's dietary meals are 100% dietary safe. All of Bridge Valley's dietary meals must be treated as 'may contain any other product'. Dietary menus are likely to be different to the standard menu.
